From the center of Milford, head north on South Walnut Street towards East Front Street. Continue straight for about 0.2 miles until you reach the intersection with East Masten Circle. Turn left onto East Masten Circle and walk for another 0.1 miles. You will then reach the Milford train station. From here, take a train heading towards New York City and get off at the Huntington Station. Once you arrive at Huntington Station, exit the station and head east on New York Avenue. Continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach Prime Avenue. Turn right onto Prime Avenue and walk for about 0.2 miles. The Heckscher Museum of Art will be on your left at 2 Prime Ave.

If you're renting a bicycle in Milford, start at the Milford Riverwalk and ride north along the path until you reach East Front Street. Turn right onto East Front Street and continue straight for about 0.3 miles. Take a left onto East Masten Circle and follow it until you reach the Milford train station. Park your bicycle and then board a train heading towards New York City. Get off at Huntington Station. Once you arrive at Huntington Station, exit and bike east on New York Avenue for about 0.5 miles. Turn right onto Prime Avenue and continue biking until you reach The Heckscher Museum of Art, located at 2 Prime Ave.
