If you are driving to The Heckscher Museum of Art from anywhere in Long Island, start by getting onto NY-495 W (Long Island Expressway) if you are in the eastern part of Long Island. Follow signs for NY-495 W toward New York City. Take exit 51 for NY-110 N toward Huntington. Merge onto NY-110 N and continue for about 10 miles. Turn left onto Prime Ave, and the museum will be on your left at 2 Prime Ave, Huntington, NY 11743. Look for parking available on-site.

To reach The Heckscher Museum of Art using public transportation, take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) from your nearest station to Huntington Station. Check the LIRR schedule for trains heading toward Port Jefferson or Ronkonkoma. Once you arrive at Huntington Station, exit the station and take the Suffolk County Transit bus S40 or S41 towards the Huntington Village. Get off at the stop near Prime Ave. Walk a short distance south on Prime Ave, and you will find The Heckscher Museum of Art at 2 Prime Ave, Huntington, NY 11743.
