Walking
If you are near the Montauk Point Lighthouse, head east on Montauk Point State Park Road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 27 (Montauk Highway). Cross Route 27 and head north on East Lake Drive. After a short walk, turn left onto 2nd House Road, and the Second House Museum will be on your left at 12 2nd House Rd.
Public Bus
From the Montauk Train Station, take the Suffolk County Transit Bus (line 10) towards East Hampton. Get off at the stop at Route 27 and East Lake Drive. From there, walk north on East Lake Drive and turn left onto 2nd House Road. The Second House Museum will be on your left at 12 2nd House Rd.

Rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Montauk. Start from the town center and head south on Main Street. Continue onto South Edison Street, then turn left onto Route 27 (Montauk Highway) heading east. After about a mile, turn right onto East Lake Drive and then left onto 2nd House Road. The museum will be on your left at 12 2nd House Rd.
