Getting There

  If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to the Long Island Expressway (I-495). Take Exit 70 toward Route 27 East, which leads you toward The Hamptons. Continue on Route 27 East for about 18 miles until you reach the Amagansett area. As you approach Amagansett, look for Atlantic Avenue. Turn left onto Atlantic Avenue, and continue for about 1 mile. The Amagansett U.S. Lifesaving Station Museum will be on your right at 160 Atlantic Ave, Amagansett, NY 11930. Parking is available nearby.

• Public Transportation (Train)

  To reach the Amagansett U.S. Lifesaving Station Museum via public transportation, take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) from your location in The Hamptons to the Amagansett station. You can check the LIRR schedule online. Once you arrive at the Amagansett train station, it's about a 1-mile walk to the museum. Head west on Montauk Highway (Route 27) for a short distance, then turn left onto Atlantic Avenue.
