If you are starting from the center of Montauk, head east on Main Street. After a few blocks, you will reach the intersection with 2nd House Road. Turn left onto 2nd House Road. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles, and you will reach the entrance to Montauk Mountain Preserve on your right.

From the Montauk train station, you can take the Suffolk County Transit bus (S92) towards East Hampton. Ask the driver to drop you off at the stop nearest to 2nd House Road. Walk a short distance east along 2nd House Road, and you will find the entrance to Montauk Mountain Preserve.

If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Montauk Village area and head east on Main Street. When you reach the intersection with 2nd House Road, take a left.
