Train
From White Plains Station, take the Metro-North Railroad train towards Grand Central Terminal. Make sure to catch an express train if possible, as it will get you to Manhattan faster. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central, exit the station and head towards 42nd Street. Follow the signs for the subway and take the 7 train towards Flushing. Get off at the 5th Avenue stop. From there, it’s a short walk to The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

From the White Plains Bus Terminal, board the BxM4C express bus towards New York City. The bus will take you directly to Manhattan. You should get off at the stop closest to 5th Avenue. Once you exit the bus, walk towards 5th Avenue and head south. The Metropolitan Museum of Art will be on your left at 1000 5th Avenue.

If you are already in downtown White Plains, you can walk to the nearest Metro-North Railroad station. Head east on Main Street until you reach the station. From there, take the train to Grand Central Terminal, and then follow the subway directions mentioned above to get to the museum.
