Train
From Yonkers Station, take the Metro-North Railroad. Board a southbound train towards Grand Central Terminal. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central, exit the station and transfer to the 7 subway line towards Flushing. Get off at the 42nd Street - Times Square station. From there, transfer to the 1 subway line towards South Ferry and get off at the 79th Street station. Walk west for about 5 minutes to reach the American Museum of Natural History at 200 Central Park West.

Bus
From the Yonkers Public Library, catch the Bee-Line Bus #1 towards the Bronx. Get off at the intersection of Broadway and 242nd Street. From there, transfer to the Metro-North Railroad at the 242nd Street station. Take a southbound train to Grand Central Terminal. From Grand Central, walk to 42nd Street and take the 1 subway line towards South Ferry. Get off at the 79th Street station and walk west for about 5 minutes to reach the museum.

If you are near the Yonkers waterfront, you can enjoy a scenic walk by heading south along the waterfront promenade until you reach the Yonkers Station. From there, board the Metro-North Railroad southbound towards Grand Central Terminal. After arriving at Grand Central, follow the directions above to transfer to the subway.

Bike
For those who prefer biking, rent a bike from a local bike rental shop. Head south along the Hudson River Greenway towards Manhattan, following the bike lanes. Cross over the George Washington Bridge into Manhattan, then ride down to Central Park West. The American Museum of Natural History is located at 200 Central Park West. Please ensure you follow bike traffic rules and regulations.
