Public Transit
From Yonkers, head to the Yonkers Metro-North Train Station located at 5 Main Street, Yonkers, NY 10701. Board a northbound train on the Hudson Line towards Poughkeepsie. After approximately 25 minutes, disembark at the Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the 42nd Street shuttle and take it to Times Square. From Times Square, transfer to the 1 subway line (red line) heading downtown. Ride for about 10 stops and get off at the 66th Street – Lincoln Center station. Exit the station and walk east on 66th Street until you reach Central Park West. Turn right onto Central Park West and you will see the New-York Historical Society at 170 Central Park W on your left.

From Yonkers, take the Bee-Line Bus #1 from the Yonkers Bus Terminal, located at 1 Larkin Plaza, Yonkers, NY 10701. Make sure to check the schedule for the next bus. Ride the bus for about 40 minutes towards the Riverdale area. The bus will take you to the Bronx, and then transfer to the Bx1 bus towards Manhattan. Ride until you reach the stop at 66th Street and Central Park West. Once you get off, walk east on 66th Street until you reach Central Park West. The New-York Historical Society is located at 170 Central Park W, just a short walk down on your left.
