Bus
From your current location in Yonkers, walk to the nearest bus stop. You can catch the Westchester County Bee-Line Bus Number 1 or 4 heading south towards the Bronx. Stay on the bus until you reach the 'Yonkers Ave and Riverdale Ave' stop. Transfer to the Q52 or Q53 bus, which will take you directly to Rockaway Beach. The journey may take around 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Be sure to check the bus schedule for the latest times.
Train
Head to the Yonkers Metro-North train station. Board a southbound train on the Hudson Line towards Grand Central Terminal. Get off at the 'Morris Heights' station. From there, transfer to the 5 subway line at the 'Morris Heights' station towards Flatbush Avenue. Get off at 'East Tremont Avenue' and then transfer to the Bx24 bus which will take you to Rockaway Beach. This trip will take approximately 2 hours, including transfer times.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous, you can walk to a nearby bus or train station. Start by heading to the nearest bus stop or train station in Yonkers. From there, follow the bus or train instructions above to reach Rockaway Beach. However, this option is not recommended due to the distance and time it would take.
