Public Transport - Bus
Start from the Auckland Central Business District (CBD). Head to the nearest bus stop and take the bus number 60 towards Orewa. The bus will take you along the scenic route on State Highway 1. Stay on the bus for approximately 45 minutes. You will need to get off at the Waiwera stop. From the bus stop, it is a short 5-minute walk to Waiwera Beach. Follow the signs leading you towards the beach, and you will arrive at your destination.

Train and Bus Combination
Begin at the Auckland Britomart Train Station. Take the train on the Eastern Line towards Papakura and change at the Otahuhu Station to the Northern Line. Get off at the Silverdale Station. From Silverdale, catch the bus number 990 to Waiwera. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes. Once you get off at the Waiwera stop, walk 5 minutes towards the beach following the signs.

If you are near the Auckland waterfront, walk to the ferry terminal and take a ferry to Devonport. From Devonport, take a bus number 87 to Takapuna. Then transfer to bus number 60 towards Orewa. After approximately 45 minutes, get off at the Waiwera stop. Walk 5 minutes towards the beach.
