Bus
To reach Waiwera Hill Scenic Reserve from Auckland City, start at the Auckland Central Bus Station located at 102 Hobson Street. Look for the bus service 60 to Orewa. Purchase a ticket from the driver or use an AT HOP card. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Orewa, disembark at the Orewa Town Centre stop. From there, transfer to bus number 88 toward Waiwera, which will take about 15 minutes to reach the Waiwera stop.

Walking
After you get off at the Waiwera stop, walk toward the beach and follow the Waiwera River. Continue walking along the riverbank until you reach the entrance of Waiwera Hill Scenic Reserve. You will be walking on a trail that leads you uphill to the scenic reserve, which should take around 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.
