Bus
From Auckland's Central Business District (CBD), head to the nearest bus stop at Victoria Street West. Take the bus route 3 (to Titirangi) or 4 (to Laingholm), which departs every 30 minutes. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop at Titirangi Village. From there, transfer to bus route 120 towards Huia. Ride for about 15 minutes until you arrive at the Huia Road and Whatipu Road intersection. From the bus stop, follow Whatipu Road for approximately 1.5 km until you reach the Whatipu Caves Track entrance.
Train and Bus
Begin your journey at Auckland's Britomart Transport Centre. Take the Southern Line train towards Papakura and get off at the Titirangi station. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk to the bus stop at Titirangi Village. Catch bus route 120 towards Huia and ride for about 15 minutes. Get off at the Huia Road and Whatipu Road intersection. From there, walk along Whatipu Road for about 1.5 km until you reach the entrance to Whatipu Caves Track.
Walking (if nearby)
If you are staying in the Huia area or nearby, you can walk to Whatipu Caves Track. Head towards Whatipu Road from your accommodation and follow the road for about 1.5 km until you reach the entrance of the track. This will take approximately 20-30 minutes on foot, depending on your pace.
