Once you reach Mount Maunganui, park at the Mount Maunganui Main Beach car park. The address for the car park is Marine Parade, Mount Maunganui, 3116. From the car park, walk towards the beach and look for the path leading towards Moturiki Island, which is connected to the mainland by a short causeway.

Public Transport
For those using public transport, catch a Bayhopper bus from Tauranga city center heading to Mount Maunganui. You can board the bus at the Tauranga bus interchange located on Willow Street. The bus service runs frequently, so check the Bay of Plenty Regional Council website for the latest timetable. Once you arrive at the Mount Maunganui stop, walk towards the beach and follow the path to Moturiki Island. Note that there may be a small fee for the bus, usually around NZD 2-5 depending on your starting point.

If you are already in the vicinity of Mount Maunganui, you can simply walk to Moturiki Island. From the main beach, head towards the north end of the beach where the causeway to the island begins. The walk across the causeway is short and offers beautiful views of the surrounding area. Ensure to check the tide times, as the causeway may be submerged at high tide.
