If you are starting from Cathedral Square, head south on Colombo Street. Walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Riccarton Avenue. Turn left onto Riccarton Avenue and continue walking for about 15 minutes. The Water Garden will be on your right, just before you reach the Botanic Gardens entrance.

From the Christchurch Bus Exchange, board the bus number 3 or 29 heading towards Riccarton. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the Riccarton Avenue stop. Once you disembark, walk east along Riccarton Avenue for about 5 minutes, and you will find the Water Garden on your left.

If you are renting a bicycle, start from the city center and head towards the Avon River. Follow the river pathway until you reach the Botanic Gardens. Once there, take the path that leads you to Riccarton Avenue. The Water Garden is located just off Riccarton Avenue, making it a quick ride of about 20 minutes from the city center.
