Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the central area of Christchurch, start at Cathedral Square. From the square, head southeast on Hereford Street toward Manchester Street. Walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Oxford Terrace. Turn right onto Oxford Terrace and continue walking for approximately 5 minutes. The Kate Sheppard Memorial will be on your left at 159 Oxford Terrace, near the banks of the Avon River.

• Bus

  If you prefer to take public transport, find your nearest bus stop and look for buses heading towards the central city. Routes such as the Orbiter or any bus that stops at the Bus Interchange will work. Get off at the Bus Interchange in the central city and walk towards Oxford Terrace. From the Bus Interchange, head southeast on Colombo Street for about 5 minutes, then turn right onto Oxford Terrace. Walk for another 5 minutes, and you will find the Kate Sheppard Memorial at 159 Oxford Terrace.

• Cycling

  If you're renting a bike, start from the central city and head towards the Avon River. Follow the river path, which is well-marked. As you cycle along the river, keep an eye out for signage pointing towards Oxford Terrace. Once you reach Oxford Terrace, turn left and continue cycling for a few minutes until you see the Kate Sheppard Memorial located at 159 Oxford Terrace.
