If you're driving, start from Te Anau, which is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from the Chasm Viewing Bridge. Take the Te Anau-Milford Highway (State Highway 94) heading northwest. Follow the highway until you reach the Milford Sound area. Look for the signs to The Chasm, which will be on your left side about 15 km before reaching Milford Sound. There is a designated parking area for visitors.
