    From Gisborne city center, head to the Gisborne Bus Terminal located at 100 Bright Street. Take a bus heading towards Rere. Check the local bus schedule for departure times. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Rere Road stop, which is the closest stop to the falls.

    Rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Gisborne. Start your journey from the Gisborne city center and head southeast on Customhouse Street. Continue onto Awapuni Road which will take you out of the city. Follow Rere Road for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach Rere Falls. The ride will take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.
