Getting There

  • Public Bus

    Start at the Hamilton Transport Centre located at 7 Bryce Street. From the Transport Centre, take Bus Route 14 towards 'Temple View'. The bus will take you directly to the Temple View area. Get off at the stop named 'Temple View Shops'. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers. Head east on Temple View Drive, then turn left onto Unnamed Road. Continue walking straight; the entrance to Taitua Arboretum will be on your right.

  • Bicycle

    If you're cycling, you can start from the central Hamilton area. Head west on Victoria Street until you reach the intersection with Wairere Drive. Turn left onto Wairere Drive and continue until you reach the intersection with Temple View Drive. Turn right onto Temple View Drive and continue straight. After approximately 3 kilometers, turn left onto Unnamed Road. Follow this road for about 500 meters, and the entrance to Taitua Arboretum will be on your right.

    If you're walking from central Hamilton, start at the Hamilton Gardens. Head northwest towards the river, and follow the river path until you reach the bridge at Te Awa River. Cross the bridge and continue along the path until you reach the intersection with Wairere Drive. Turn right onto Wairere Drive and walk for about 2 kilometers. Turn left onto Temple View Drive and continue straight for about 1 kilometer. Finally, turn left onto Unnamed Road, and you will find the entrance to Taitua Arboretum on your right.
