Walking
If you are in the central area of Nelson, start at Trafalgar Street. Head south towards the intersection with Bridge Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Hardy Street. Turn left onto Hardy Street and follow it as it curves slightly to the right. You will pass several shops and cafes on your way. Continue straight until you reach the base of the Grampians. Here, you will see signs for the Grampians Walkway. Follow the signs uphill to enter the reserve.

From Nelson city center, catch the bus route that heads towards the Grampians area. Look for the Nelson City Bus service and check the schedule for the 'Grampians' route. Get off at the closest bus stop near the Grampians Reserve, which is typically at the base of the hill. From there, follow the pedestrian path that leads up into the reserve. The path is well marked and will take you directly to the entrance of the Grampians.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from Nelson's city center and head towards the waterfront on Trafalgar Street.
