    Start at the Nelson City Centre. Head south on Trafalgar Street towards the intersection with Hardy Street. At the intersection, turn left onto Hardy Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the end of Hardy Street, where it turns into South Road. Follow South Road until you reach the intersection with the Grampians Road. Turn right onto Grampians Road, and follow it until you see the entrance to Grampians Reserve on your left. Enter the reserve and follow the marked trail uphill to reach the Viewing Platform.

    From the Nelson City Centre, catch the local bus heading towards 'The Grampians'. Ensure you check the bus schedule for the latest timings. Get off at the stop nearest to Grampians Road. After alighting, walk a short distance to the entrance of Grampians Reserve, which will be on your left. Follow the trail leading uphill to the Viewing Platform.
