Walking

If you are starting from the New Plymouth city centre, head north on Devon Street towards the intersection with Robe Street. At the intersection, turn left onto Robe Street. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the base of Marsland Hill. From there, follow the signs or paths leading up Marsland Hill, which will take you directly to the New Plymouth Observatory situated at the top.
Public Transport

You can take the local bus service from the New Plymouth city centre. Find the nearest bus stop on Devon Street and catch a bus that heads towards Marsland Hill. Make sure to check the bus schedule, as services may vary. Ask the driver to let you know when you arrive at the nearest stop to Marsland Hill. Once you get off, walk up the path leading to the observatory, which is located at the top of Marsland Hill.
