Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the New Plymouth i-SITE Visitor Information Centre at 24 Liardet Street, head northwest on Liardet Street toward Devon Street. Continue straight until you reach Brougham Street, then turn left onto Brougham Street. Walk along Brougham Street until you reach the intersection with Vivian Street. Turn right onto Vivian Street, and The Taranaki Cathedral Church of St Mary will be on your left at 37 Vivian Street.

• Public Transport

  From the New Plymouth Central Bus Station, take bus number 1 or 2 (check the schedule for the most current routes). Get off at the stop on Vivian Street near the intersection with Brougham Street. Once you exit the bus, walk a short distance down Vivian Street towards the east. The Taranaki Cathedral Church of St Mary will be located at 37 Vivian Street, just a few minutes' walk from the bus stop.

• Cycling

  If you're renting a bicycle in New Plymouth, start from the Coastal Walkway. Head towards the city center and follow the signs directing you to Vivian Street. Once you reach Vivian Street, turn left and continue cycling until you arrive at The Taranaki Cathedral Church of St Mary located at 37 Vivian Street. There are bike racks available near the church for parking.
