Walking
If you are starting from the New Plymouth city center, head towards the coastal walkway located near the New Plymouth i-SITE Visitor Centre. From there, follow the coastal walkway heading west. You will pass by various parks and the beautiful coastline. Continue along the path for about 20 minutes until you reach the Ngamotu Beach. Keep walking along the beach until you see the Wind Wand, which is located at the eastern end of the beach by the foreshore. The Wind Wand is hard to miss due to its striking design.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the New Plymouth city center, you can catch a bus at the bus stop near the New Plymouth i-SITE. Look for buses heading towards the coastal areas or specifically to the Ngamotu Beach stop. The bus ride should take approximately 10-15 minutes. Once you get off at Ngamotu Beach, walk a short distance towards the beach, and you will see the Wind Wand nearby on the foreshore.

Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in the city center. Start your ride on the coastal walkway near the New Plymouth i-SITE. Follow the path along the coast towards Ngamotu Beach. It will take around 15 minutes to bike there. As you arrive at Ngamotu Beach, look for the Wind Wand at the eastern end of the beach, which is easily visible from the path.
