Walking
If you're starting from the New Plymouth CBD, head towards the coastal walkway located along the southern edge of the city. Walk towards the east along Devon Street West until you reach the intersection with the coastal walkway. Turn left onto the coastal walkway and continue walking along the waterfront. The Wind Wand will be visible from a distance as you approach, located at the eastern end of the Puke Ariki Landing, near the New Plymouth Coastal Walkway and the beach.

From the New Plymouth Bus Terminal, take the Taranaki buses that operate routes towards the coastal area. Look for a bus that stops at the Puke Ariki Museum. Once you arrive at Puke Ariki, you can easily walk towards the Wind Wand. It's just a short stroll east along the waterfront path, following the signs for the Coastal Walkway.

If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in New Plymouth. Start from the city center and head towards the Coastal Walkway.
