From Whangarei, head north on State Highway 1 (SH1) for approximately 2 hours. Continue straight as SH1 becomes SH10. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto SH10 towards Kaitaia. After about 40 minutes, turn right onto Te Paki Stream Road. Drive for about 15 minutes until you reach the Giant Sand Dunes located at 47 Te Paki Stream Road, Cape Reinga. Note that parking is available on-site.
