Public Bus
From Queenstown, walk to the central bus station located on Camp Street. Catch the 1A or 1B bus towards Arrowtown. The bus ride will take approximately 25 minutes. Get off at the Gibbston Valley stop, which is the closest stop to Kawarau Bridge. From the bus stop, walk about 10 minutes down Gibbston Highway (State Highway 6) towards the Kawarau Bridge Historic Reserve. The bridge will be visible from the highway.

Bike Rental
Rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Queenstown. Head towards the Queenstown Trail, which you can access from the Queenstown Gardens. Follow the trail towards Arrowtown, which will take you along the scenic route through the valleys. Continue on the trail until you reach the Gibbston Valley area. Kawarau Bridge Historic Reserve is located just off the trail, and you will see signs directing you to the bridge as you approach.

Walking
For the adventurous, you can walk from Queenstown to Kawarau Bridge, but it's quite a distance (around 22 kilometers). Start at the Queenstown Gardens and follow the lakeshore along the walking path. Continue onto the Queenstown Trail that leads towards Arrowtown. Once you reach Gibbston Highway, follow the signs towards the Kawarau Bridge. This walk will take several hours, so be prepared with water and snacks.
