Bus
Start your journey at the Wanaka bus stop located on Ardmore Street, near the lakefront. Take the daily Connectabus service towards Cromwell. Inform the driver to drop you off at the Roaring Meg stop, which is approximately 25 minutes away. As you approach your stop, look for the Roaring Meg River and the Pisa Conservation Area entry sign.

Walking
After getting off at the Roaring Meg stop, walk towards the gorge where the river flows. Follow the path along the river until you see the signs for the Pisa Conservation Area. The start of the track is well-marked, and you should be able to see the trailhead from the main path.

If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike at one of the local shops in Wanaka. Head south on the Wanaka-Luggate Highway (State Highway 84) towards Cromwell. After about 12 km, look for the Pisa Conservation Area sign on your right. Secure your bike at the designated area before starting your hike.
