Getting There

  • Bus

    Begin your journey by taking the Connectabus from Queenstown. Head to the main bus terminal located at 38 Shotover Street. Look for the bus heading toward Glenorchy and get off at the Routeburn Shelter stop. This is approximately a 45-minute ride. From the Routeburn Shelter, you will need to walk along the Routeburn Track for about 1 hour and 30 minutes until you reach Lake Gunn. The trail is well-marked, and you will enjoy stunning views along the way.

    You can also arrange a shuttle service from Queenstown to Lake Gunn. Many local companies offer this service. Contact them in advance to schedule a pick-up from your accommodation in Queenstown.
