Getting There

Car
If you are driving in Milford Sound, head towards the Fiordland National Park Visitor Centre located at 10 Milford Sound Highway. From there, take Milford Sound Highway (State Highway 94) towards the Te Anau-Milford Sound Road. Continue for about 15 kilometers until you see the Lake Marian Track entry point on your right. Look for the parking area designated for the track.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the Milford Sound shuttle service from the Te Anau Visitor Centre. Inform the driver that you want to stop at the Lake Marian Track. The shuttle will drop you off at the entrance to the track. Make sure to check the timetable for return shuttles to ensure you have a ride back after your hike.

If you're already in the vicinity of the Lake Marian Track, you can simply walk to the entrance. The track starts at a clearly marked sign along the Milford Sound Highway. Look for the Lake Marian Track signs along the way as you head towards the Fiordland National Park. The track entrance is just a short walk from the main road.
