From Queenstown, head to the Queenstown Bus Station located at 38 Shotover Street. Look for the bus service to Glenorchy, which runs regularly. Purchase a ticket for the journey, which takes approximately 45 minutes. The bus will take you along the scenic route along Lake Wakatipu, offering stunning views. Get off the bus at the Glenorchy stop.

Once in Glenorchy, you can book a shuttle service to the Routeburn Track. There are several local transport companies that provide shuttle services to the trailheads. Make sure to book in advance, especially during peak season. The shuttle ride to the Routeburn Track starts from Glenorchy and takes about 30 minutes, dropping you off at the Routeburn Shelter.

If you enjoy walking, you can explore the Glenorchy area before boarding the shuttle to the Routeburn Track. Glenorchy offers beautiful landscapes and walking trails. Be mindful of the time, as you need to catch the shuttle to reach the Routeburn Track on time.
