Walking
From Queenstown's town center, head south on Camp Street towards the Lake Wakatipu waterfront. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Shotover Street. Turn left onto Shotover Street and follow it until you reach the junction with Gorge Road. Turn right onto Gorge Road and continue walking until you see the signs for the Skyline Gondola. Once you reach the gondola base, take the gondola to the top of Bob's Peak. From the gondola station, follow the signs for Old Skyline Road. The road is accessible via a well-marked walking path that leads from the gondola area.

Mountain Biking
Starting from Queenstown's town center, head towards the Queenstown Bike Park by following the signs to the Skyline Gondola. Rent a mountain bike from one of the local bike shops if you don't have your own. Ride up the access road to the gondola base, where you can use the lift for a portion of the climb. From the top of the gondola station on Bob's Peak, you can access Old Skyline Road. Follow the mountain biking trails that lead you along Old Skyline Road, taking in the breathtaking views.

Catch the Skyline Gondola shuttle bus from the Queenstown Bus Station. The bus will take you directly to the gondola base. Once you arrive at the gondola base, purchase a ticket and take the gondola up to Bob's Peak. After disembarking, follow the signs for Old Skyline Road.
