Car
If you are starting from Invercargill, drive north on State Highway 1. At the intersection with State Highway 6, take a right turn onto SH6 and continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Gore. From Gore, take State Highway 94 towards Te Anau. After approximately 50 kilometers, turn left onto Clifden Gorge Road. Follow Clifden Gorge Road for about 15 kilometers, and you will arrive at the Clifden Caves parking area. There are no tolls or fees for this route.

Once in Gore, you will need to arrange for private transportation (like a taxi or rideshare) to reach Clifden Caves.
