If you're driving from Invercargill, head south on State Highway 1 for approximately 30 kilometers. At the junction, take the exit for State Highway 99 towards Riverton. Continue on State Highway 99 for about 39 kilometers until you reach the turn-off for the Southern Scenic Route. Follow the scenic route signs, and after about 20 kilometers, turn left onto a gravel road leading to the Historic Clark Hut. The hut is located about 10 kilometers down this road. Please note that this road may require a 4WD vehicle depending on the weather conditions.
