From Tauranga city center, head to the Tauranga Bus Interchange located at 11 Willow Street. Take the Bayhopper bus route 1 towards Papamoa. Get off at the stop at Te Puke Highway near the intersection with Okere Falls Road. From there, it’s a 20-minute walk: head east on Te Puke Highway, then turn right onto Okere Falls Road and walk until you reach 18 Okere Falls Road. Kaituna Cascades will be on your left.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local shops in Tauranga. Start from the city center and head towards the cycle path that leads to the Mount Maunganui area. Continue towards the Te Puke Highway, following cycle paths to connect to Okere Falls Road. The cycle will take approximately 1.5 hours depending on your pace. Once on Okere Falls Road, continue until you reach 18 Okere Falls Road.

For those adventurous enough to walk from Tauranga, start at the city center near the Tauranga Art Gallery. Head towards the waterfront and follow the path along the Tauranga Harbour. Proceed to the Te Puke Highway and keep walking until you reach Okere Falls Road, which is approximately a 2 to 3-hour walk. Turn onto Okere Falls Road and continue until you reach 18 Okere Falls Road.
