From the Rotorua i-SITE Visitor Centre located at 1167 Fenton Street, take the bus toward Tikitere. Ensure to check the latest bus schedule as buses may not run frequently. Once on the bus, inform the driver you are headed to Lake Rotoiti Hot Pools. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the nearest stop to Tikitere and follow the signs towards the hot pools. It is a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

If you are staying in central Rotorua and prefer to walk, head north on Fenton Street towards the Whakarewarewa Forest area. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Te Ngae Road. Turn left onto Te Ngae Road and walk for about 4 kilometers. You will eventually see signs for Lake Rotoiti Hot Pools. The total walk is around 5 kilometers and will take approximately 1 hour, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
