Walking
If you're starting from the Tauranga city center, walk towards the waterfront and head to The Strand. From The Strand, follow the path along the waterfront towards the Mount Maunganui area. Continue walking until you reach a pedestrian bridge that crosses over the railway line. Cross the bridge and keep walking straight. You will arrive at Maunganui Road, continue straight until you reach the intersection with Marine Parade. Turn left onto Marine Parade, and after a short walk, you will see Maunganui Beach on your right.

From the Tauranga city center, head to the nearest bus stop on The Strand. Take the Baybus Route 2 towards Mount Maunganui. The bus will take you along a scenic route.
