Getting There

• Public Transport - Bus

  From Tauranga, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the Bayhopper bus route that heads towards Te Aroha. You will want to look for the bus that is heading to Te Aroha. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Get off at the Te Aroha bus stop, which is centrally located. From the bus stop on Rewi Street, walk along Rewi Street until you reach the intersection with Whitaker Street. Turn left onto Whitaker Street, and continue walking for about 500 meters until you reach Te Aroha Domain, which will be on your right.

• Walking

  If you are already in the central area of Tauranga, you can take a scenic walking route to Te Aroha Domain. Start at the Tauranga waterfront and head northeast along the waterfront until you reach the Tauranga Bridge. Cross over the bridge and follow the road signs leading to State Highway 29. Continue on State Highway 29 for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach Te Aroha. Once in Te Aroha, follow the signs to Whitaker Street, where Te Aroha Domain is located.

• Bicycle

  For a more adventurous route, consider renting a bicycle in Tauranga. Start at the Tauranga waterfront and bike along the cycle path heading towards the Te Aroha area. Follow the designated bike paths and roads leading to State Highway 29. This route is approximately 20 kilometers and will take about 1-1.5 hours depending on your biking speed. Once you arrive in Te Aroha, head towards Whitaker Street to reach Te Aroha Domain.
