Walking
From the center of Wanaka, start at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre located on Ardmore Street. Head south on Ardmore Street, which will turn into Lakeside Road. Continue walking straight along Lakeside Road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass the Wanaka Lakefront and several cafés and shops. Eely Point Reserve will be on your left, marked by a sign. The entrance to the park is easily visible from the road.
Biking
If you are renting a bike, start at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre. Head south on Ardmore Street, then turn left onto Lakeside Road. Follow Lakeside Road for about 1.5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the Eely Point Reserve sign on your left. The bike ride is pleasant along the lakeside and takes approximately 10-15 minutes.
Public Transport (Bus)
If you prefer taking public transport, check the local bus schedule for routes heading towards Eely Point. Most buses will stop near the lakefront. Get off at the nearest stop and walk towards Lakeside Road. From there, head south along Lakeside Road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Eely Point Reserve on your left.
