Walking
Start in the town center of Wanaka, near the lakefront. Head north on Ardmore Street towards the Wanaka Tree. Continue straight to stay on Ardmore Street, which will turn into Mount Aspiring Road. Follow Mount Aspiring Road for about 4 kilometers. You will pass by the scenic Glendhu Bay on your right. Keep an eye out for the sign indicating the Hospital Flat Conservation Area, which is located at 1215 Wanaka Mount Aspiring Road. Once you see the sign, follow the path leading into the conservation area.

Rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Wanaka. Start your ride from the town center heading north on Ardmore Street. Follow the same route as if you were walking, continuing straight onto Mount Aspiring Road. This route is bike-friendly and offers beautiful views of Lake Wanaka and the surrounding mountains. After about 4 kilometers, look for the sign for Hospital Flat Conservation Area at 1215 Wanaka Mount Aspiring Road. The path leading to the conservation area is accessible by bike.

Check the local bus service in Wanaka for any routes that head towards Glendhu Bay. Board the bus that is going in the direction of Mount Aspiring Road. Inform the driver you want to get off at the stop nearest to 1215 Wanaka Mount Aspiring Road. Once you exit the bus, you may need to walk a short distance to find the entrance to the Hospital Flat Conservation Area, which will be marked with signage.
