Walking
If you are starting from the Wanaka town center, head east on Ardmore Street towards the lakefront. Continue walking along the lakefront until you reach the junction with Helwick Street. Turn left onto Helwick Street and follow it until you reach the intersection with Brownston Street. Turn right onto Brownston Street. Keep walking straight until you reach the intersection with Cardrona Valley Road (State Highway 89). At this point, you can choose to catch a local bus or continue walking. If you choose to walk, follow Cardrona Valley Road for about 3 km. Look for Homestead Close on your right, where Wanaka Homestead Lodge and Cottages is located at number 1.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the Wanaka town center, you can catch the Wanaka bus service. Look for the bus stop near the lakefront on Ardmore Street. Board the bus that heads towards Cardrona or the one that has a sign indicating 'Wanaka Homestead Lodge.' The bus will take you along Cardrona Valley Road. Get off at the stop closest to Homestead Close. From there, it's a short walk to the lodge at 1 Homestead Close.

For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Wanaka. Start from the town center and head towards the lakefront. From the lakefront, follow the same route as if you were walking: along Ardmore Street, turning onto Helwick Street, then onto Brownston Street. Once you reach Cardrona Valley Road, continue cycling for about 3 km. Homestead Close will be on your right side, and Wanaka Homestead Lodge and Cottages will be at number 1.
