Walking
If you're starting from Wellington's central city, head towards the waterfront. From the Wellington Waterfront, walk along the promenade towards the Te Papa Museum. Once you reach Te Papa, continue towards the roundabout at the intersection of Cable Street and Taranaki Street. From there, head up Taranaki Street until you reach the intersection with Buckle Street. Turn left onto Buckle Street, and you will find the British War Memorial located at Pukeahu National War Memorial Park on your right side.

From the Wellington CBD, you can take a bus towards Brooklyn or Kingston. Board any bus that stops at the 'Museum' or 'Pukeahu' stops. Once you alight, walk towards Buckle Street where you will find the British War Memorial at Pukeahu National War Memorial Park. It is a short walk from the bus stop.

If you have access to a bike, start in the city center and head towards the waterfront. Follow the waterfront cycling path towards Te Papa Museum. Continue along the path and take the turn towards Taranaki Street. Cycle up Taranaki Street and turn left onto Buckle Street. The British War Memorial will be located on your right as you approach Pukeahu National War Memorial Park.
