Getting There

Bus
From Wellington city center, head to the Wellington Railway Station. Look for the bus terminal adjacent to the station. Take the Metlink bus route 110 or 113 towards Upper Hutt. The journey will take approximately 45-60 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Te Mārua' on Twin Lakes Road. From there, Kaitoke Regional Park is about a 15-20 minute walk. Head east on Twin Lakes Road until you reach the entrance to the park.

Start your journey at Wellington Railway Station. Purchase a ticket for the train to Upper Hutt. The train ride will take around 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Upper Hutt Station, exit the station and walk towards the bus stop on the corner of Main Street and King Street. Take the Metlink bus route 110 or 113 towards Te Mārua. Get off at 'Te Mārua' on Twin Lakes Road. From there, it's a 15-20 minute walk to the park entrance by heading east along Twin Lakes Road.
