From the Wellington Central Bus Station, take the number 110 bus towards Upper Hutt. Make sure to check the bus schedule as it may vary. Stay on the bus for approximately 45 minutes. Get off at the stop on Fergusson Drive opposite the Trentham Memorial Park. From there, walk towards the park entrance and follow the signs to Poets Park, which is located within the Trentham area.

Start at Wellington Railway Station. Purchase a ticket to Upper Hutt. Board the train on the Hutt Line and enjoy the scenic ride, which takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Upper Hutt Station, exit the station and head southeast on Station Road. Turn left onto Fergusson Drive and walk approximately 15 minutes until you reach Trentham Memorial Park. Poets Park is located within this park.

If you are within walking distance from the city center, you can take a leisurely stroll through the Wellington waterfront, then follow the designated walking paths towards Te Aro and up to the Hutt Road. Continue along the Hutt Road until you reach the Upper Hutt area. This walk can take several hours, so ensure you are prepared with water and snacks.
