Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Wellington Central, head towards the Wellington Cable Car Station located on Upland Road. This is about a 10-minute walk from the central bus terminal. Once at the cable car station, purchase a ticket and take the cable car up to Kelburn. The ride offers stunning views and takes around 5 minutes. After you disembark at the Kelburn terminal, exit the building and walk straight ahead onto Salamanca Road. Kelburn Park will be on your left after a brief walk of about 5 minutes.

  • Bus

    From Wellington Central, walk to the nearest bus stop on Wakefield Street. Catch the number 18 bus heading towards Kelburn. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the Salamanca Road stop. From there, walk along Salamanca Road for about 5 minutes, and you'll reach Kelburn Park on your right.

  • Bike

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Wellington. Start from the central city and head towards the waterfront. Follow the cycle paths leading to the Kelburn area. The ride will take around 20-25 minutes. Upon reaching Salamanca Road, park your bike at the designated bike racks near Kelburn Park.
