Walking
If you are starting from the Wellington city center, head towards Lambton Quay and walk up the hill towards the Wellington Botanic Garden entrance located at the top of the Cable Car. The Cable Car station is situated at 280 Lambton Quay. Purchase a ticket and take the Cable Car up to the Kelburn lookout. Once you exit the Cable Car, follow the signs to the Wellington Botanic Garden. Walk straight ahead along the paths until you reach the Lady Norwood Rose Garden, located at 101 Glenmore Street, Kelburn. The garden is well signposted, and you will enjoy the beautiful views along the way.

From the Wellington city center, walk to the nearest bus stop at Lambton Quay. Catch bus number 20 or 21 heading towards Karori. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop nearest to the Wellington Botanic Garden. After disembarking, walk towards the entrance of the Botanic Garden. Once inside, follow the pathways that lead you to the Lady Norwood Rose Garden located at 101 Glenmore Street, Kelburn. The garden is a short walk from the main entrance, and you will find clear signage directing you to it.
