Bus
Start at the Wellington Central Bus Station, located at 1 Bunny Street. Take the number 2 bus towards Hataitai. The bus will take you along Majoribanks Street and then down Cambridge Terrace. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes, and get off at the 'Hataitai Village' stop. From there, walk up Lookout Road for about 10 minutes until you reach Mount Victoria Lookout. Follow the signs indicating the direction to the lookout.

If you're starting from the Wellington Waterfront, walk along the waterfront promenade towards the Te Papa museum. Continue through the museum and exit onto Cable Street. Turn right onto Tory Street and then left onto Wakefield Street. Follow Wakefield Street as it becomes Victoria Street and then continue until you reach the entrance to the Mount Victoria Reserve. Hike up the trail for about 30 minutes to reach the lookout.
