Walking
Start at the Wellington Central Business District. Head southeast on Lambton Quay towards Willis Street. Continue on Willis Street until you reach the intersection with Vivian Street. Turn left onto Vivian Street. Walk until you reach the intersection with Mount Victoria. Turn right and follow Mount Victoria Road until you reach the entrance of the Mount Victoria Lookout track. Follow the signs to the lookout, which is about a 30-minute walk uphill through the forested area.

Public Transport (Bus)
From Wellington Central, walk to the nearest bus stop on Lambton Quay. Take the number 2, 3, or 4 bus towards Hataitai. Get off at the 'Hataitai Village' stop. From there, walk along Maida Vale Road until you reach the intersection with Lookout Road. Follow Lookout Road up the hill to the Mount Victoria Lookout, which is approximately a 20-minute walk from the bus stop.

Cycling
If you have a rental bike, start from the Wellington Waterfront and head towards Oriental Parade. Continue on the road until you reach the intersection with the Mount Victoria tunnel. Go through the tunnel and follow the road signs for Mount Victoria Lookout. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, and be prepared for some steep sections as you ascend to the lookout.
