If you're starting from the Wellington waterfront, head north along the waterfront path towards the Te Papa museum. Continue past Te Papa for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Jervois Quay. Turn left onto Jervois Quay and walk for another 5 minutes. The Wellington Museum will be on your right at 3 Jervois Quay.

From the Wellington Central Bus Station (located at 81 Waterloo Road), take bus number 3, 7, or 14 heading towards the city center. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Jervois Quay and Willeston Street. After you get off, walk down Jervois Quay for about 2 minutes, and you'll find the Wellington Museum at 3 Jervois Quay on your left.

If you're near the Wellington Cable Car station at Lambton Quay, take the cable car up to the Kelburn terminus. From there, walk down the hill towards the city center. Continue walking down Upland Road until you reach the intersection with Jervois Quay. Turn left onto Jervois Quay and walk for about 15 minutes. The Wellington Museum will be on your right at 3 Jervois Quay.
