If you're starting from the Wellington Central train station, exit the station and head towards Featherston Street. Turn left onto Featherston Street and walk straight for about 5 minutes. Then, turn right onto Jervois Quay. Continue straight for another 5 minutes, and you will find Wellington Museum located at 3 Jervois Quay on your left.

From the Wellington Central bus interchange, take any bus that goes towards the waterfront area. You can catch the bus from the interchange located at 1-3 Harris Street. Get off at the Jervois Quay bus stop. Once you get off, walk towards the waterfront along Jervois Quay for about 2 minutes, and you will see Wellington Museum at 3 Jervois Quay.
