Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from the Wellington i-SITE Visitor Centre located at 111 Wakefield Street, head southwest on Wakefield Street toward Victoria Street. Continue walking straight as it becomes Jervois Quay. The Wellington Museum will be on your left at 3 Jervois Quay, just past the intersection with Whitmore Street.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From the Wellington bus terminal at 81 Victoria Street, take any bus heading towards the CBD and get off at the stop at Jervois Quay. The museum is a short walk from the bus stop. Head east on Jervois Quay and you will find the Wellington Museum at 3 Jervois Quay on your left.

  • Walking from the Waterfront

    If you are at the Wellington Waterfront, walk towards the north end of the waterfront promenade. Continue until you reach the intersection of Jervois Quay. Turn left onto Jervois Quay and walk along the road. The Wellington Museum will be on your left at 3 Jervois Quay.
