    Starting from the Whanganui City Centre, head southwest on Victoria Avenue towards Ridgway Street. Continue walking straight for about 1.2 kilometers. You will pass various shops and cafes along the way. After reaching the intersection with Gonville Road, turn left and continue for about 500 meters. You will see a park on your right, which is Kowhai Park. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout, then take the second exit onto Bastia Avenue. Follow Bastia Avenue for about 800 meters until you reach the Bastia Hill Water Tower at 13 Bastia Avenue. The tower will be visible on your left.

    From the Whanganui City Centre, head to the nearest bus stop on Victoria Avenue and catch a bus heading towards Gonville. Ask the driver to drop you off at the stop nearest to Bastia Avenue.
