Walking
From the center of Chapel Hill, head east on Franklin Street. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles. You will pass various shops and restaurants on your left and right. Look for the signs that indicate the direction to Morehead Planetarium. As you approach the intersection of East Franklin Street and South Columbia Street, keep walking straight. Morehead Planetarium and Science Center will be on your left at 250 E Franklin St. The entrance is easily identifiable with a large sign, and there are bike racks available if you bring your bike.

If you are biking, you can follow the same route as walking. Start at the center of Chapel Hill and head east on Franklin Street. Make sure to use designated bike lanes where available. As you approach the intersection with South Columbia Street, slow down as you approach the planetarium. You will find bike racks near the entrance to secure your bike.

Take the Chapel Hill bus service, specifically the CW route heading towards the University of North Carolina. Board at any major bus stop in Chapel Hill. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at East Franklin Street and South Columbia Street. From there, it’s just a short walk of about 3 minutes to reach Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, located at 250 E Franklin St. Follow the signs or the street to your left.
